Ali Asghar Khaji
Ali Asghar Khaji ( Persian علی اصغر خجی; born 1953 ) is a retired Iranian diplomat .
Life
In January 1981, the Abolhassan Banisadr government broke off relations with the Moroccan King Hassan II because he supported Saddam Hussein in the first Gulf War . From November 1988 to February 1991 Ali Asghar Khaji headed the representation of interests of Iran in the embassy of the protecting power Malaysia in Rabat . From 13 September 2000 to 2004 he was ambassador to Riyadh. From 17 January 2008 to 2014 he was ambassador to Brussels and was accredited to the European Commission .
From September 2, 2014 to June 21, 2018, he was ambassador to Beijing .
