The Hutton Rocks are cliff rocks in the Antarctic Ross Archipelago . They are located in Erebus Bay west of the Hut Point Peninsula on Ross Island not far from the Hutton Cliffs .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them based on the naming of the neighboring cliffs. It is named after Frederick Wollaston Hutton (1836-1905), curator of the Canterbury Museum in Christchurch, New Zealand from 1893 until his death
