history

Hutton and Corrie Parish Church is the parish church of the Parish Hutton and Corrie . This covers an area of 96.9 km 2 and was created by merging the Parish Hutton and Corrie in 1609. As early as the 12th century, a chapel in Hutton is described, which was named in 1609 as the main church.

The current church was built in 1710. At first it had no paved floor and a thatched roof . Between 1745 and 1800 the church also housed the school. In 1763 the formerly elongated building was expanded, giving it its current T-shaped floor plan. Several structural changes made the church look like it does today in the course of the 19th century. In 1820 a bell was added and in 1858 a small prayer room was added on the west side. The entrance areas on the north and east sides were designed in 1871.
