Hverfisfljót is a glacial river in southern Iceland .
It rises from Síðujökull on the southwestern edge of Vatnajökull . Between Kirkjubæjarklaustur and Lómagnúpur , a 60 meter long bridge leads the ring road over the river. The Hverfisfljót is a right tributary of the meandering Núpsvötn .
