Hybrid mail
Hybrid mail describes a mixed system for sending letters. The letter is created as a document of an online letter or tele letter (historically) on a computer according to a certain format (e.g. as a PDF document ) and electronically transmitted to a print service provider. The received document is printed out, enveloped , franked by the printing service provider and physically delivered to the recipient by the offering postal service provider or its cooperation partner.
In contrast to the telegram , which only contains a short text, the sender can use the hybrid mail to send any printable document and thus, for example, to embed images in the letter.
