Hyotan Jima (from Japanese ひ ょ た ん じ ま Hyōtan-shima , German ' pumpkin island' ) is a small island off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is the largest of a series of small islands in the vicinity of the island of Ytrehovdeholmen west of the Langhovde in the Lützow-Holm Bay . The island has two 25 and 21 m high hills .
Japanese scholars named them descriptively in 2008 after their shape.
