Hypnosis , also called Hipnosis , was an Italo disco band from the 1980s. Her biggest hit was called Pulstar and was released in 1983.

Band history

Stefano Cundari von Koto founded Hypnosis in Parma in the early 1980s . Other members were Paul Sears and Ugo Solenghi. In 1982, Angelo Bergamini from Kirlian Camera joined the group. Cundari had the idea to cover the Vangelis hit Pulstar . The recordings were supported by Anfrando Maiola, Cundari's partner at Koto. The title published by Memory Records made it into the top 20 in Austria and Switzerland, and even into the top 10 in Germany . With Oxygene , which reached number 39 in the German charts, and Astrodance , two more singles hit the stores by 1984 .

In the period that followed, all of the original members left Cundari's project. The band's founder released the track Droid in 1987 under the name Hypnosis, but could not build on the old successes. In 1990 the Italian died. The project was now officially over.

In the 1990s there were further hypnosis publications. In 1991 the anthology Hypnosis appeared on CD with well-known titles . A year later, Humphrey Robertson used the band name for a single and an album, both of which were published by ZYX , giving the impression that the old Hypnosis project would be continued with new musicians. After another maxi in 1994, this tape copy was over.
