The ships of the Hyundai 3600 series were built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan from 1997 and delivered to various clients such as the shipping company Karl Schlueter in Rendsburg.
The ships are set up for the transport of dangerous cargo and have a container space capacity of around 3,600 TEU. With a homogeneous loading of 14-ton containers, the capacity is around 2600 TEU. 300 connections for refrigerated containers are available. All ships have superstructures three-quarters aft and have five holds equipped with cell guides , the nine hatches of which are closed with pontoon hatch covers. Four of the holds are in front of the deckhouse, one behind. The ship's propulsion system consists of a two-stroke diesel engine that acts directly on the fixed propeller. The main engine model used is the HHI-Sulzer 8RTA 84C with 32,421 kW, which enables a speed of up to 23 knots. The berthing and casting off maneuvers are supported by a bow thruster .
