Uwe Klimmeck

Uwe Klimmeck (* around 1969/70) is a German film editor .

Life

Uwe Klimmeck attended the municipal high school in Rheinbach near Bonn from 1976 to 1984 and studied economics at the University of Cologne in 1984/85 . From April 1985 to the end of April 1987 he worked as a radio and sports reporter at the information and media center of the German Armed Forces in the Cologne area. He then worked from July 1987 to July 1993 as a camera , EB assistant and avid editor at Arnold & Richter Cine Technik (ARRI) in Munich. From 1992 he was mainly editing documentaries .

In 2006 Klimmeck moved to Washington, DC , where he worked as an editor at Story House Productions until March 2012 . After his return to Germany he joined in 2012 in the feature films , and took over as the successor of Melania Sinder the Editor of The farmer and his Prince . Klimmeck's assembly work on the film The Other Home - Chronicle of Desire was nominated for the German Film Critics' Prize.

Uwe Klimmeck is a member of the European Film Academy and a longstanding member of the Bundesverband Filmschnitt Editor eV (BFS) .
