Hywind Scotland is the world's first commercially used wind farm consisting of floating wind turbines and has been in operation since 2017. The park is located about 18 miles from Peterhead on the coast of Scotland in the North Sea . Hywind Scotland consists of 5 wind turbines of the type Siemens SWT 6.0-154, with a total power of 30 MW. It is operated by Hywind (Scotland) Limited, a joint venture of Equinor (75% share) and Masdar (25%).
