I'm Tore Down ; also doors down is a Blues -Titel, the mostly the US blues musician Freddie King is attributed and 1961 as a single on Federal Records was released. However, Sonny Thompson , who was working with King at the time, is noted as the author on the first publication .
Cover versions of John Hammond , Alexis Korner and the band Barrelhouse appeared in the next few years . King's album Getting Ready… (1971) also contained the song (in a longer version).
In 1994, British rock musician Eric Clapton covered the title for his studio album From the Cradle . His rendition was number 5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart and stayed there for a total of 13 weeks.
