Sergei Mikhailovich Pinchuk ( Russian Сергей Михайлович Пинчук ; born July 26, 1971 in Sevastopol , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian rear admiral and commander of the Caspian flotilla . From 2011 to 2014 he was the commander of the Novorossiysk naval base .

Life

Pinchuk graduated from the Nakhimov Naval War School in Leningrad in 1988 and then began studying at the Black Sea Nakhimov Naval War College in Sevastopol, which he graduated in 1993. He began his officer career as commander of a missile battery of the artillery combat section (GA-2) on the destroyer Nastoychivy of the Sovremenny class . Until July 19, 2004 he was first officer of the ship's commanding officer. In 1999 he completed higher special courses for naval officers. After attending the Naval War Academy NG Kuznetsov in 2004, he continued his service in the Leningrad Naval Base of the Baltic Fleet . In 2007 he became the commander of the 105th Coast Guard Brigade of the Baltic Fleet and chief of the Kronstadt garrison . From December 2010 he was employed as Chief of Staff and 1st Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Naval Base. By decree of the President of the Russian Federation of December 22, 2011, he was appointed commander of the Novorossiysk naval base of the Black Sea Fleet. By Decree No. 101 of the Russian President of February 21, 2014, Pinchuk was appointed Rear Admiral. From September 2014 to 2016 he attended the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in Moscow . On September 20, 2016, he was appointed commander of the Caspian Flotilla by presidential decree.

His father is Rear Admiral Mikhail Pinchuk .
