Alexander Alexejewitsch Moissejew ( Russian Александр Алексеевич Моисеев ; born April 16, 1962 in Borskoye , Gwardeisk Raion , Kaliningrad Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Vice Admiral of the Russian naval fleet and has been in command of the Northern Fleet since 2019 .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1977, Moiseyev trained as a craftsman for cinematography in Sovetsk and worked in this profession after graduating from the technical college in 1981. In the same year he was called up for military service. From September 1982 to 1987 he studied at the Higher Naval War School for Radio Electronics " AS Popow ". He then served from June 1987 on a nuclear submarine of the Northern Fleet as an engineer for computer technology and as a combat section commander. In February 1992 he was the first officer of the substitute team on the nuclear submarine K-117 "Bryansk" and from July to October 1994 on the nuclear submarine K-18 "Karelija" . In this capacity he took part in a trip to the North Pole from July to August 1994. In 1995 he completed higher officer courses in the naval fleet. He was from July 1995, first on the nuclear submarine K-117 "Bryansk" of the nuclear submarine as first officer of the backup crew and then from November 1997 to September 2001 as commander of the backup crew K-407 "Novomoskovsk" used . On July 7, 1998, as the commander of the submerged submarine K-407, he directed the launch of two German nanosatellites TUBSAT-N / N1 into low-earth orbit with the help of ballistic missiles.

In 2003 Moiseev graduated from the Naval War Academy NG Kuznetsov . He served from June 2003 as the deputy commander and from December 2005 as chief of staff of the 31st submarine division of the 12th submarine squadron of the Northern Fleet. In the summer of 2006 he headed the staff responsible for the test shooting of the submarine K-84 “Yekaterinburg” in the Arctic region . From August 2007 to September 2009 he took over the post of commander of the 31st submarine division of the 12th submarine squadron of the Northern Fleet. In 2007 he led the voyage of the submarine K-114 “Tula” under the pack ice of the Arctic as well as the test of new weapon systems, in 2008 the trans-Arctic voyage of the submarine K-44 “Ryazan” from the base of the Northern Fleet to the Pacific Fleet and in 2009 to K –117 the launch of a ballistic missile from a section near the North Pole . In preparation for the tests, he developed methods for using missile armament under rapidly changing ice conditions. He was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation for his contribution to strengthening the Russian fleet by Presidential Ukas No. 181 of February 14, 2011 .

Moissejew graduated in 2011 from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with "distinction". From June 2011 he was deployed as deputy commander and from April 2012 as commander of the submarine forces of the Northern Fleet. He was appointed Rear Admiral on February 20, 2013 and promoted to Vice Admiral on June 11, 2015. In April 2016, he was promoted to Chief of Staff and 1st Deputy Commander of the Northern Fleet. In November 2017, he became Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Armed Forces . In May 2018 he took over the duties of commander of the Black Sea Fleet and was appointed Commander of the Black Sea Fleet by President Putin on June 26, 2018 . Presidential Decree No. 203 of May 3, 2019 ordered his use as commander of the Northern Fleet.
