Iñigo Pírfano
Iñigo Pírfano (* 1973 in Bilbao , Spain ) is a Spanish conductor and composer.

Education
Pírfano learned solfeggio , piano and harmony while studying philosophy , which he finished at the Universidad Complutense Madrid. In 1997 he entered the ' Mozarteum ' University of Music and Performing Arts in Salzburg , where he studied orchestral, choir and opera conducting with Karl Kamper . There he obtained his diploma in music conducting. He deepened his studies with Sir Colin Davis in Dresden and with Karl-Heinz Bloemeke and Kurt Masur in Detmold.

In June 1998 he conducted the summer concert of the Mozarteum at Schloss Frohnburg, where he not only interpreted works by Stravinsky and de Falla , but also premiered works by young composers from the seminar for new music from this school.
His work as an orchestral conductor took him through Austria ( Salzburg and Vienna ) and Germany as well as Spain ( Madrid , San Sebastián , Valencia and Bilbao ), where he played various orchestras and ensembles such as B. the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, Stettiner Philharmonie, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Valencia Symphony Orchestra, Navarra Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, Guayaquil Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Panama, National Symphony Orchestra of Peru and others, as well as soloists of format such as Ainhoa Arteta, Aquiles Machado, Aris Argiris, María José Montiel and others. In 2012 he received the “Young Leadership” award from the Rafael del Pino Foundation. In 2014 he started the international project “A Kiss for all the World”, for which he received the “Bravo Prize” 2017 in the music category.
His repertoire includes symphonic music, chorale and opera, from baroque to contemporary music.

In 1998 he was commissioned as a composer to compose, orchestrate and conduct the soundtrack for the feature film “El Sudor de los Ruiseñores”. In 2004 he was commissioned to compose the official music for the 400th anniversary "Don Quixote de la Mancha 2005".
