I'm a Man is a song that the singer of the Spencer Davis Group , Steve Winwood , and the music producer Jimmy Miller was written.

The song was released as a single in 1967 by the Spencer Davis Group. It reached number 9 in the UK and number 10 in the US . This original version of the piece is attributed to blues rock .

Chicago

In 1969, the American band Chicago Transit Authority (later known as "Chicago") recorded a heavier cover version of I'm a Man for their debut album. As the band grew in popularity, the song was also released as a single in 1970, intended to be the B-side of Questions 67 and 68 . In the end, both songs were played frequently, with I'm a Man ranked 49th in the US and 8th in the UK.

Others

I'm a Man has been covered several times, including by Keith Emerson for the film Nachtfalken (1981) .

In the UK, VW used the song in a 2008 TV commercial for the Polo; the singer was Charlie Winston .

I'm a Man has also been used in other advertising campaigns as well as in video games, radio shows and films, for example in the 2015 film Minions .
