ICON-SCM is a software manufacturer and solution provider based in Karlsruhe and San Jose ( California ). The company was founded in 1992 by Michael Keppler and Kurt Mannchen in Karlsruhe.

The focus is on integrated supply chain planning , collaboration and liability management solutions. These cover many supply chain planning processes such as sales and operations planning , demand planning , supply chain visibility and liability planning and are particularly tailored to efficient and cost-effective processes ( best practice ) in the high-tech industry. Core parts of the planning solution have been patented since 2010. ( Patent US7974720 . )

Users include Hewlett-Packard , Western Digital , Honeywell , Sanmina-SCI , Foxconn , Microsoft , RadiSys and, since 2012, Canon .

At the presentation of the Supply Chain Innovation Awards 2009 during the annual conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in Chicago in September 2009, ICON-SCM and Tellabs were awarded second place worldwide for their solution “A Framework for Success: Improving the Efficiency of Outsourced Manufacturing Operations ”. The case study describes the problem and solution strategy that was implemented as part of a joint implementation project.

Since November 2010, ICON solutions have also been marketed by SAP under the name “SAP® Supply Chain Response Management by ICON-SCM”.

At the end of July 2013, ICON-SCM was taken over by the American company E2open and therefore renamed E2open AG.
