International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists
The ICWES (International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists) is an international conference series for women engineers. It was only supported by the International Continuing Committee (ICC), which was replaced by the INWES umbrella organization in 1999.
The conference series was launched in 1964 with a conference in New York City , USA . The last ICWES15 congress took place in July 2011 in Adelaide , Australia with a focus on the areas of “Leadership, Innovation, Sustainability”, in German “Leadership, Innovation and Sustainability”. The next ICWES16 conference is planned for 2014 in Los Angeles , USA.
