IFK Mariefred is a Swedish sports club from Mariefred founded in 1908 , which is best known for its ice hockey department .

history

The association was founded on June 17, 1908. The Hockey Division participated in the seasons 1936/37 , 1940/41 and 1942/43 at the Svenska series i ishockey , the then highest Swedish league, in part. From 1944 to 1947, IFK Mariefred also joined their successor division 1 division . In the 1930s and 1940s, the team also regularly took part in the Swedish championship , which was then still held in cup mode .
