IK Heim Mölndal (Idrottsklubben Heim, German: Sportverein Heim) is a Swedish sports club from Mölndal .
The association was founded on February 4, 1923 in Café Manhem in Gothenburg . Initially, athletics was practiced. Handball was added later, and from 1975 bowling too . In 1990 the association merged with Sanna IF, the common name was IK Sanna-Heim . In 2003 the club moved to Mölndal. In 2005 the bowling department became independent under the name IK Heim Bowling, the handball department returned to the name IK Heim.
In a syndicate with the Mölndals HF , the first men's handball team played as IK Heim Mölndal ; The merger under the name of IK Heim is planned for the long term. From 2005 to 2007 the team played in Sweden's top division, the Elitserien . After the 2007/2008 season in Division 1 Södra , the club was relegated to Division 2 Västra.
The great successes of the first men's team include seven Swedish championship titles (1950, 1955, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1982 and 1983). Peter Gentzel is one of the well-known former players .
