The IPE KW.2 Biguá was an experimental glider produced by the Brazilian Industria Paranaense de Estruturas (IPE) .

history

The KW.2 Biguá , an experimental glider, was designed by aeronautical engineer Kuno Widmaier and built jointly by Industria Paranaense de Estruturas and the Novo Hamburgo aeroclubs . The two-seat aircraft flew for the first time on December 19, 1974. When the Departamento de Aviação Civil ordered the IPE KW.1 Quero-Quero , orders for the Biguá were also considered, but ultimately dropped in favor of the IPE 02 Nhapecan . The only machine was used in Novo Hamburgo until 2000 .

construction

The machine had a fuselage made of welded steel tubes with a conventional tail unit and wings made of a wooden structure. The machine was partly planked with plywood and covered with fabric, the wings were swept negative. The pilots sat one behind the other in the closed cockpit. Under the fuselage was a skid and a single wheel.
