Jürgen Ude

Jürgen Ude (* 1958 in Magdeburg ) is a German engineer , entrepreneur and political official . Since January 2017 he has been State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitization of the State of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

After graduating from high school , Ude began studying materials engineering at the Technical University of Magdeburg in 1980 , which he completed in 1985 with a degree in engineering. Subsequently, from 1985 to 1991 he was a research assistant in the Office for Standardization, Metrology and Goods Testing in Magdeburg, which from 1991 operated under the name of the State Material Testing Office Saxony-Anhalt. In 1991 he obtained his doctorate in engineering. and then worked until 1997 as a research assistant at the Institute for Materials Technology and Testing at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg .

After he was Head of Research and Development at Metallwerke Harzgerode from 1998 to 1999, he became Managing Director of the Harzgerode Society for Economic Development and Innovation in 1999. He held this post until the end of 2016. At the same time, he was CEO of Sachsen-Anhalt Automotive e. V. and cluster spokesman MAHREG Automotive (1999–2016), Managing Director of Innovations- und Gründerzentrum Magdeburg GmbH (2008–2016) and Vice President of the Magdeburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (also 2008–2016).

On January 1, 2017, Jürgen Ude was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitization of the State of Saxony-Anhalt by Minister Armin Willingmann . The reason for this reshuffle of Haseloff II's cabinet was Willingmann's appointment as Minister to succeed Jörg Felgner . Thomas Wünsch remained head of the ministry .

Ude is married and has two children.
