The Industria Paranaense de Estruturas is a Brazilian aircraft manufacturer .

history

The Brazilian engineer Carlos Pessoa Boscardin has been working in the aviation industry since 1960. In 1972 he founded his own company, which initially dealt with the construction of gliders . When the Brazilian government put a light trainer aircraft out to tender for the Brazilian aero clubs, the company acquired the distribution and production rights for the Mudry Cap 10 . The first aircraft built under license flew for the first time in 1986. Under the name IPE 04 , work was carried out on a further development of the CAP-10 from 1989 onwards, from which two machines are said to have flown. However, the government then opted for Argentine-made aircraft, whereupon IPE ran into financial difficulties and could only survive by building boats. In addition, their own aircraft, the IPE 06, was developed, which was able to complete its maiden flight in 1990. Only 15 of them were built, so aircraft development was again suspended for a few years. It was not until an American investor got on board in the early 2000s that aircraft development was resumed and the IPE 06A was brought onto the market. Currently, the company produces in addition to the IPE 06A , the IPE / PL 010 , an agricultural aircraft, and develops the IPE 014 , a 10-seater light transport aircraft.
