PZL PW-5 “Smyk” is a single-seat glider in plastic construction from the Polish manufacturer PZL Świdnik SA
It has been declared by the FAI to be the glider that is flown in the world class . Selection criteria included the simple and safe construction and good flight characteristics. It was important that the aircraft was cheap so that it could also be used in clubs and for flight training.
It is optically characterized by its relatively short surfaces and the rather raised tail. The operation is very pleasant and therefore the aircraft can also be used for training. The services are more in the area of wood / composite construction.
