PZL PW-5 “Smyk” is a single-seat glider in plastic construction from the Polish manufacturer PZL Świdnik SA

It has been declared by the FAI to be the glider that is flown in the world class . Selection criteria included the simple and safe construction and good flight characteristics. It was important that the aircraft was cheap so that it could also be used in clubs and for flight training.
