ITÜ-pSat 1 (also ITU-pSat 1) is a Turkish research satellite that was developed and built at the Technical University in Istanbul .
tasks
The primary task of ITU-pSat is to examine the performance of an on-board passive stability system. It consists of a magnet that has aligned the satellite to the earth's magnetic field with an accuracy of about 15 ° according to simulations. The satellite also has a camera on board that can take photos with a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels.
begin
ITU PSAT was on 23 September 2009 with a PSLV - carrier rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Center along with OceanSat-2 , UWE-2 , SwissCube-1 , BeeSat , Rubin 9.1 and Rubin 9.2 in a low earth orbit brought.
