The IVB Umwelttechnik GmbH is a company based in Annaberg-Buchholz .
The name was derived from I ndustriefertigung v on B ehältersystemen.
The company is a market leader in Germany in the design and manufacture of metal waste containers for private and municipal waste disposal companies.
The export share of sales is currently around 40%, as the company u. a. Supplied to major customers in Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates and Russia. The company's turnover is 12.2 million euros.
Products
The company manufactures waste bins made of steel, stainless steel or aluminum.
The product range includes front-loading, rear-loading, large garbage and depot containers with a capacity of 660 to 7500 liters. These vary in type based on the type of discharge receptacle , as well as size, material and number of wheels and lid.
The depot containers for waste glass meet the EU guidelines for noise protection and carry the RAL “Blue Angel” environmental label.
The company presents its products and new developments at national and international trade fairs, such as E.g. at the Entsorga-Enteco in Cologne, the International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Recycling (IFAT) in Munich and the International Building and Construction Show in Dubai.
Company innovations
The Annaberger Feuerverzinkungs-GmbH (AFZ), which opened in November 2008, works closely with IVB Umwelttechnik GmbH. They both belong to the same holding company. Thanks to a special immersion process in hot-dip galvanizing and a zinc kettle 4 m deep, the AFZ is one of the most modern in the world.
In September 2009, the new final assembly hall, which was built with own funds and supported by the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labor, was put into operation in order to increase the capacity for container assembly.
IVB Umwelttechnik GmbH is an active member of the GGAWB (Gütergemeinschaft Abfall- und Wertstoffbehälter eV) and helps to initiate and optimize EU standards and laws for the waste disposal industry.
Thanks to its own design department, new developments and patents in the field of container design and manufacture are constantly being made, which differentiates the company from its competitors and enables it to secure its leading position in the market. The aim of the company is to maintain the market-leading position in the design and manufacture of front empty containers and to remain an important employer in the region.
