Ian F. McNeely
Ian Farrell McNeely (born October 10, 1971 ) is an American historian .
Life
He studied history at Harvard University (AB 1992) and at the University of Michigan (MA 1993, Ph.D. 1998). He teaches history at the University of Oregon ( Professor since 2013, Associate Professor of History 2006–2013, Assistant Professor 2002–2006).
As a historian of knowledge, he did research on practical intellectuals , thinkers who also do this, be it through reform of public health care, rebuilding civil society or reinventing universities.
