Ian Hughes
Ian Hughes (born April 8, 1969 in Vancouver , British Columbia , Canada ) is a New Zealand actor .
Life
Born in Canada, he moved to Auckland , New Zealand with his family .
He started out with the theater first , but switched to film and television in the early 1990s. His first films were short films. He achieved his national breakthrough in the series Shortland Street and Xena - The Warrior Princess .
In The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King , he played Irolas , a character invented by the producer team based on the characters Imrahil and Beregond in the novel and who , according to IMDb, was the latter's brother. In the cartoon series Power Rangers Ninja Storm and Power Rangers Jungle Fury , he was heard as a voice actor.
After the turn of the millennium, he was seen increasingly in plays again and in 2010 was awarded the NZ Herald Best of Theater Award for Mojo .
