Ian McAndrew (born February 23, 1989 in Gosford ) is an Australian football player .

Career

McAndrew played until 2007 for Central Coast Lightning in the lower class football of the state of New South Wales . In June 2007 he was accepted into the newly created Youth Academy of the Central Coast Mariners and was promoted to the A-League squad as the first academy player in early August . Equipped with a one-year contract, he came to a brief appearance against Wellington Phoenix during the season. His contract was not extended by the club after the season. McAndrew remained active in local football, in 2011 he played for the Mounties Wanderers in lower-class football in New South Wales, and in 2015 he won the Central Coast Premier League championship with Gosford City as player- coach .

In 2010 McAndrew took part with the Australian national futsal team at the Futsal Asian Cup in Uzbekistan when the team failed in the quarterfinals against the host's team.
