Iben Mondrup
Iben Mondrup (born September 26, 1969 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish writer .
Life
At the age of 7 she moved to Godhavn with her family . Five years later they moved to Nuuk . At 17, she moved to Denmark with her Greenlandic friend and future husband. She has a daughter and lives in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen . She graduated from the Det Kongelige Danske Academy of Art in 2003 with a degree in sculpture .
She made her debut as a writer in 2009 with the novel Ved slusen , which was published by the Greenlandic publisher milik publishing . Her next four novels were published by Gyldendal . In 2015 she was awarded the DR Novel Prize for her novel Godhavn .
