Ibrahim Okyay (born August 1, 1969 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish automobile racing driver . He won the Turkish Touring Car Championship five times.

Career

Okyay began his motorsport career in rally racing in 1992 . In 1995 he switched to touring car racing and was active in the Turkish touring car championship with interruptions until 2009. During this time he won the Turkish touring car championship five times.

His international motorsport career began in 2006 in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). He took part in the race weekend at the Istanbul Park Circuit for Kosifler Motorsport in a BMW 320i . His best result was a 14th place. In 2008 Okyay returned to the WTCC and contested the entire season in a BMW 320si for Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport . He remained without points and tenth place was his best result. In 2010 Okyay competed in the European Touring Car Cup and came fourth in the S2000 classification. In 2011 Okyay again took part in two WTCC race weekends for Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport. With a 13th place as the best result, he remained without points.
