The European Touring Car Cup 2010 was the sixth edition of the European Touring Car Cup . In contrast to previous years, when the ETCC consisted of only one event, in 2010 several races were held over the entire season. Overall winner in the Super 2000 class was James Thompson , in the Super Production class Vojislav Lekić and in the Super 1600 class Carsten Seifert .
Racing calendar
The European Touring Car Cup was held in 2010 on the Circuito Vasco Sameiro , the Salzburgring and the Autodromo di Franciacorta . Two races with a distance of 50 kilometers each took place on each racetrack. Originally the ETCC was also planned to appear in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben , but the event was canceled.
Teams and drivers
The European Touring Car Cup was driven in three different vehicle classes. The class with the most participants was the Super 2000 , in which vehicles up to 2000 cc were permitted. Among them was the Super 1600 for vehicles up to 1600 cc. In addition, there was the Super Production class for largely unmodified series vehicles.
