Ida Perry

Ida Perry (born February 16, 1877 in Berlin ; † June 21, 1966 there ; born Ida Bertha Nahrstedt ) was a German actress .

She graduated from a secondary school for girls and then trained in singing. Perry made her debut in 1897 and was seen as a singer and actress at the Apollo Theater, the Thaliatheater and the Metropoltheater in Berlin from 1900 . Perry was mainly on stages in Berlin such as the Theater am Kurfürstendamm , the Schlossparktheater and the Komödie, in particular in the 1930s and 1940s she acted frequently at the Theater am Nollendorfplatz . After the war she mainly appeared on the stage of the youth and at the Berlin Residenztheater and made guest appearances at various other theaters.

In the early German silent film , Ida Perry initially received leading roles, later she became a frequently used supporting actress. After the Second World War she worked as a radio play speaker for the RIAS . She was married to the actor Rudolf Ander (Andersch). Her daughter Charlotte Ander also became an actress. Her grave in the Wilmersdorf cemetery was leveled.
