Idaios (Companion of Aeneas)
Idaios ( Greek Ἰδαῖος , Latin Idaeus ) is a companion of Aeneas in Greek mythology .
In Virgil's Aeneid , Idaios and Aktor, another companion of Aeneas, lead home the mother, who complains about the death of her son Euryalus. Idaios and actor follow the advice of Ilioneus and Aenea's son Iulus so that Aeneas' tired companions are not demoralized by further complaints.
