União the Freguesias de Arouca e Burgo , short Arouca e Burgo , is a village ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese circuit ( Concelho ) of Arouca . 5178 people live here on an area of ​​15.25 km² (figures as of 2011).

The municipality was created in the course of the administrative reorganization in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by amalgamating the dissolved municipalities of Arouca and Burgo . Arouca became the seat of the new municipality.
