Idan Vered ( Hebrew עידן ורד; * January 1, 1989 in Ramat Gan ) is an Israeli soccer player who currently plays as an attacking midfielder for the Beitar Jerusalem .

Career

Club career

Vered started his football career in the youth team of Maccabi Tel Aviv . From 2002 to 2007 he played for Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan . During this time he played twice for the club's professional team and scored one goal. After that, Vered moved in 2007 to the youth of Beitar Jerusalem . There he was also used for the first time in the professional team after good performance in the youth team towards the end of the 2007/08 season. Under the new coach Reuven Atar , Vered became a regular player, but continued to play in the youth team. With Beitar he won the cup in 2009 . In total, he played 45 games for the team in three years and scored five goals. For the 2010/11 season Vered moved to the Israeli record champions Maccabi Haifa . Here Vered played a total of 130 games over the next five years and scored 14 goals for his team. In 2015 Vered played for the Serbian first division club FK Roter Stern Belgrade . There he came to eight missions and one goal. In the spring of 2016, Vered was under contract with Ottawa Fury in Canada . In the summer of 2016 he returned to Israel and now plays for Beitar Jerusalem.

National team

Vered made his debut in 2007 for the Israel Under-21 team, for which he played a total of eight games until 2010, scoring three goals.
