Ignacio Nicolini , full name Ignacio Nicolini Díaz , (born February 4, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.75 meter tall midfielder Nicolini started his career at least in the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons in the ranks of the Montevideo-based Club Atlético Bella Vista . There he played a total of 56 games in the Primera División and scored nine goals (2012/13: 29 games / 7 goals; 2013/14: 27/2). He was also used in two matches (one goal) of the Copa Sudamericana . In mid-2012 he moved within the league and the city to Club Atlético Peñarol . With the "Aurinegros" he contributed to winning the national championship title in the 2012/13 season with eight first division appearances (no goal). He also played in four games (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores . During the current 2013/14 season, in which he was twice (no goal) in the Primera División for Peñarol, he left the club in January 2014 and joined league rivals Cerro Largo FC on loan . At the club from the eastern Uruguayan city of Melo , he was used 15 times (no goal) in the league. However, the team had to go into the second division at the end of the season. After the Clausura 2014 he left the club after briefly returning to Peñarol and joined Racing . In the 2014/15 season he was used 30 times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league. During the Apertura season 2015, 14 more premier league appearances and one goal were added. In mid-January 2016 he moved to Flamurtari Vlorë . With the club from Albania , he completed 18 league games (no goal) and four games (no goal) in the national cup. In early September 2016 he joined the Italian club Monopoli Calcio , for which he played 36 league games (no goal) by the end of the season. After training with the Racing Club from Montevideo for several weeks, he signed a contract there in the run-up to the upcoming Torneo Clausura in early August 2017.
