Igor Barukčić (born April 5, 1982 in Zagreb , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian football player. He is a defensive midfielder .

Career

Barukčić played for Dinamo Zagreb at the beginning of his career and was then under contract with Pula in 1856 .

In January 2007, he joined the German second division club Eintracht Braunschweig as one of eleven players who wanted to prevent relegation with the campaign "Eleven victories for the second division". At the end of the 2006/07 season , Braunschweig rose to the regional league and Barukčić, who had come to four poorly rated inserts in the second half of the season, left the club after six months and moved back to Croatia to the second division club NK Slavonac Stari Perkovci .
