NK Hrvatski dragovoljac is a Croatian football club from the city of Zagreb .

history

The association was founded in 1975 under the name NK Trnsko 75 , founded a year later after a Zagreb district first in ONK Novi Zagreb and 1990 in NK Novi Zagreb renamed and received in 1994 finally its present name. The renaming in Hrvatski dragovoljac (German Croatian volunteer ) is a reaction to the Croatian war .

In 1995 they were promoted to the first Croatian league , in 1997 , 1998 and 1999 the club played in the UEFA Intertoto Cup , and at the end of the 2001/02 season they were relegated to the second Croatian league. Since then, the club has strived to achieve promotion to the first division. In the 2008/09 season the project failed in the relegation against Croatia Sesvete . However, the club managed to return to the first division in the 2009/10 season, where they only gave a one-year guest appearance.
