The stadium NŠC Stjepan Spajić is a football stadium in Novi Zagreb , a district of the Croatian capital Zagreb .

history

The sports facility, which opened in 2000, was named Stadion u Sigetu ( German  Stadion in Siget ) after the district of Siget until 2006 . Its current name goes back to the long-time president of the association, Stjepan Spajić, who died in 2004 at the age of 52. The football club NK Hrvatski dragovoljac , currently in the 2nd HNL , is based in the 5,000-seat stadium . In addition to the covered main grandstand in the north, which is equipped with plastic seats, there are other open-air seats on steel scaffolding behind the gate in the west.
