Ursula Margarethe Konstantia Louise Diede zum Fürstenstein , b. von Callenberg (born August 25, 1752 in Muskau Castle , Upper Lusatia , † August 29, 1803 in Villa Rezzonico near Bassano del Grappa , Italy ) was a German noblewoman who had a certain reputation as a pianist .

Life

Louise Diede zum Fürstenstein was the youngest of four children of Count Johann Alexander von Callenberg (1697–1776), Herr von Muskau , and his second wife Rahel Luise Henriette, nee. Countess of Werthern- Beichlingen (1726–1753). Her brother was Georg Alexander Heinrich Herrmann von Callenberg , President of the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences . Her mother died very early, and the father provided private tutors with a good education , especially in languages ​​and music. Louise achieved a certain virtuosity on the lute and especially on the piano and also composed some of her own works.

On January 10, 1772 she married the Freiherr Wilhelm Christoph Diede zum Fürstenstein (1732-1807), royal Danish chamberlain and envoy to the British court, knight of the Dannebrog Order, commander of the Imperial Order of St. Joseph , imperial and imperial regiment - Burgmann on the Friedberg Castle , and later royal Danish Minister of State and envoy of the Duchy of Holstein to the Perpetual Reichstag in Regensburg . The main residence of the family was Ziegenberg Castle in the Wetterau in Hesse . The family was on friendly terms with Johann Gottfried Herder and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe . The latter wrote in his Italian trip : "Frau von Diede then played an important concert, developing very great advantages".

Her brother, Count Hermann von Callenberg (1744–1795), left Muskau Castle in 1785 just a few days after he had married his daughter Clementine on account of debts and had given her the class rule . He sought refuge at Ziegenberg Castle with his beloved sister Louise.

Louise Diede zum Fürstenstein died on August 29, 1803 during a visit to the cure of Prince Rezzonico, who was friends with the family, at his country estate, the Villa Rezzonico near Bassano del Grappa, on the Ruhr . Her husband and younger daughter, who had traveled with them, buried her on September 1, 1803 in Padua with the hermitans. Wilhelm Christoph Diede zum Fürstenstein later asked Goethe for lines for a memorial that he wanted to dedicate to his wife.
