Igor J. Polianski

Igor J. Polianski (* 1969 ) is a German author and historian specializing in the history of medicine and the history of science .

Life

Polianski studied in St. Petersburg , Berlin and Jena the subjects biology , art history and history of science. It was in 2003 at the University of Jena in professional philosophy doctorate . From 2004 to 2008 he was a research assistant at the Center for Contemporary History in Potsdam before he was appointed to Ulm University in 2009 . There he is deputy director at the Institute for the History, Theory and Ethics of Medicine , where he also completed his habilitation in 2014.
