Igor Karsko

Igor Karsko (* 1969 ) is a Slovak violinist .

Igor Karsko studied with Karol Petroczi at the Košice Conservatory and with Jiri Tomasek at the Prague Music Academy , where he graduated with an honorary degree. In Prague he also received chamber music and conducting lessons. Lord Yehudi Menuhin invited Karko to the Menuhin Academy in Gstaad in 1991, where he studied with Alberto Lysy and Yehudi Menuhin. Karsko was a member of the Camerata Lysy and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado , as well as concertmaster of the State Philharmonic Košice. Between 1993 and 2012 he was the first coordinated concertmaster of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra . He is also the first concertmaster of the Camerata Zurich . Recitals, solo and chamber music concerts took him all over Europe.
