Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra
The Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (GMJO) is a youth symphony orchestra that was founded by Claudio Abbado in Vienna in 1986/1987 .
history

The GMJO was the first international youth orchestra to hold free auditions in the countries of the former Eastern Bloc . In 1992 the GMJO became accessible to musicians up to the age of 26 from all over Europe.
