Wilfried Haslauer junior (born May 3, 1956 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian lawyer and politician ( ÖVP ). Since June 2013 he has held the office of governor of the state of Salzburg .

Life

Wilfried Haslauer, son of the former governor of Salzburg, Wilfried Haslauer senior , grew up in Neumarkt am Wallersee , where he also attended elementary school. After graduating from the Academic Gymnasium in Salzburg , he studied law in Salzburg and Vienna . He completed his studies in 1979 with a doctorate, with an additional degree in economics . After a year of court in Vienna and Salzburg, Haslauer pursued the path of the legal career.

From 1985 to 2004 Wilfried Haslauer was an independent lawyer with four other partners in Salzburg.

He is a member of the MKV Association K.ö.St.V. Almgau Salzburg and the ÖCV connections Rheno-Juvavia Salzburg, Babenberg Vienna and Rupertina Salzburg.

Wilfried Haslauer is married and has four children. In June 2017 he married his third wife Christina Rößlhuber, best man was Harald Preuner .

From 2004 to 2009 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Salzburg AG , and in autumn 2018 he was appointed as the successor to Christian Struber as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Political career

Wilfried Haslauer was a curator in the think tank of the ÖVP, the Seebrunner Kreis and president of the Dr.-Wilfried-Haslauer-Bibliothek, a research institute for political-historical studies. Among other things, because of his relationships with the economy and experience in ÖVP circles, he moved to the head of the Salzburg People's Party in the 2004 state elections .

Since April 28, 2004 Wilfried Haslauer junior had been deputy governor of Salzburg and governor of the Salzburg People's Party. The departments of economy, tourism, operational research, municipalities, transport, state museums and galleries as well as special cultural projects fell into his area of ​​responsibility.

After the success of his party in the state elections in Salzburg in 2013 , Haslauer was appointed governor in the state government of Haslauer junior on June 19, 2013 . I elected.
