Gautier Capuçon (born September 3, 1981 in Chambéry ) is a French cellist and chamber musician . His older brother is the violinist Renaud Capuçon .

Recordings

Gautier Capuçon is an exclusive Erato artist. For the label he took among others, the Dvořák -Cellokonzert with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and Paavo Järvi , Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations and Prokofiev's Sinfonia Concertante with the Mariinsky Theater under Gergiev , the Brahms Double Concerto with his brother Renaud Capuçon and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under Myung-Whun Chung and Haydn's cello concertos with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Daniel Harding .

He has also recorded several albums of chamber music, including piano trios by Mendelssohn and Haydn with Martha Argerich and Renaud Capuçon, piano trios by Brahms , Schubert and Ravel with Renaud Capuçon, Frank Braley , Nicholas Angelich and others. Furthermore, duo albums appeared with his brother Renaud and Gabriela Montero . Further projects include a recital album with works by Schubert, Debussy , Britten and Carter with Frank Braley as well as Saint-Saëns ' First Cello Concerto and La muse et le poète with the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France and Lionel Bringuier.
