Frank Braley

Frank Braley (* 1968 in Corbeil-Essonnes ) is a French pianist and chamber musician with an international reputation .

Braley got his first piano lessons when he was four years old. He gave his first concert at the age of ten in Paris with the Nouvel Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France (NOP). At the age of 18 he was accepted into the Paris Conservatory . At the age of 22, in 1991, he took part in an international competition , the Queen Elizabeth Competition of Belgium , for the first time and was awarded first prize.

Braley plays with renowned orchestras and conductors in international music centers in Europe, Japan, Canada and the USA . For example, he has played with the Orchester National de Belgique , the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra , the Boston Symphony Orchestra , the Copenhagen Royal Orchestra , the Orchester National de France , the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra , the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra , the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchester de la Suisse Romande , the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra . Charles Dutoit , Eliahu Inbal , Marek Janowski , Armin Jordan , Sir Neville Marriner , Kurt Masur , Sir Yehudi Menuhin , Yutaka Sado and Michael Schønwandt worked on the conductor's podium .

To Discography Braley include recordings with Eric Le Sage and with the brothers Gautier and Renaud Capuçon ; Especially with the latter, he regularly gives concerts in chamber music projects and has performed with him in the major concert halls of Amsterdam, Athens, Florence, New York, Washington, Paris and Vienna. Some of the recordings received awards with the Diapason d'or and the Choc du Monde de la Musique .
