Igor Timerbulatowitsch Muchametschin

Igor Timerbulatowitsch Muchametschin ( Russian Игорь Тимербулатович Мухаметшин ; born August 15, 1963 in Neftekamsk , Bashkir ASSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian Vice Admiral and since July 2016 Chief of Staff of the Baltic Fleet .
Life
Muchametschin graduated from the Pacific Naval War College " SO Makarow " in 1986 . He served on nuclear submarines of the Northern Fleet as a combat section commander, officer on watch, chief officer and commander. After attending senior officer training courses in 1994, he was employed as the deputy commander of a unit of nuclear submarines. In 2001 he graduated from the Naval War Academy NG Kuznetsov and in 2006 from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces with distinction. He was then used as the chief of staff of a submarine squadron and later as the commander of a nuclear submarine squadron of the Pacific Fleet . From July 9, 2010, he commanded the underwater forces of the Northern Fleet. In April 2012, by presidential decree, he was appointed deputy head of the Naval War Academy. He then became the commander of the underwater forces of the Pacific Fleet. Since July 1, 2016, he has temporarily fulfilled the duties of the Chief of Staff and 1st Deputy Commander of the Baltic Fleet. On October 7, 2016, he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Baltic Fleet.
