Ihor Palij

Ihor Orestowytsch Palij ( Ukrainian Ігор Орестович Палій ), born May 10, 1963 in Drohobych ( Ukrainian SSR ), is a Ukrainian painter and artist who combines abstract art and realism in his paintings . He focuses on oil painting . Palij is a member of the Association of Artists of Ukraine.

biography

Ihor Palij was born in 1963 to a family of musicians in Drohobych in western Ukraine . In 1986 he finished his architecture studies at the National Polytechnic University of Lviv . Subsequently, he was part of several architectural projects in connection with oil painting. In 1987 he married Olena Polyakowa. He currently lives in Lviv , in western Ukraine . Palij has a daughter. In 2004 he founded his own company specializing in architecture and plant construction.

Sakhalin

In 1986, Ihor Palij moved to the island of Sakhalin , where he gained a good reputation as a senior decorator for a trading and advertising company. His projects included interior fittings for shops, restaurants and private houses in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk .

Poland

In 1992 he moved to Krakow , Poland. In 1988 his first personal exhibition was organized there. He was actively involved in cultural life as well as in charity campaigns. In 2004 his oil painting “Bez Tytułu. 2001 ”(“ Untitled. 2001 ”) sold at auction for USD 2,772.

Reorientation towards steel art

Ihor Palij has also been involved in steel art since 2002, designing and creating his own works. The main reason for his reorientation was the need for three-dimensional figures to expand his paintings in one of his projects. To accomplish this task, he founded his own company for steel art production. Other projects included the decoration of the "Sophia" shopping center, the "Flamingo" restaurant in Stryj , the "Museum of Beer" and the "Aivengo" restaurant. 1999–2000 he was responsible for the design of the restaurant chain "Egypt"; In 2001 he successfully completed his first high-rise construction project.
