Ihosy is one of three districts in the region Ihorombe in Madagascar . The main town of this district is Ihosy .

Mining

The district is rich in minerals. So were at Ilakaka sapphire and chrysoberyl in, Zazafotsy ruby , sapphire, Heliodorus , and in Ambia spinel found.
