Iivar "Iivo" Väänänen (born September 17, 1887 in the rural community of Kuopio , † April 13, 1959 ibid) was a Finnish sports shooter .

successes

Iivar Väänänen participated in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm in two competitions. In the individual competition on the running deer, he finished 22nd with 28 points. In the team competition on the running deer Väänänen was the second best shooter of the Finnish team with 30 points, with which he reached third place behind the Swedish and the US team. In addition to Väänänen, Axel Fredrik Londen , Nestori Toivonen and Ernst Rosenqvist won the bronze medal.
